This is because it might be a complex cyst and it is important to evaluate the cyst in greater details. A CT or MRI scan will tell if there is only water in the cyst or if there is fat and blood components making it a complex cyst. Cysts less than 3 cm in diameter can be left alone but since your cyst might be larger (more than 4 cm), it must be investigated further.
Please confirm that your cyst measurements are in cm. If they are in mm then there is no need to worry.
