Brief Answer:
No report attached...

Detailed Answer:
Apologies for the late reply yet again...

At the outset, I wasn't able to see an attachment here . Perhaps there was an error while uploading. If you have a copy please upload again. Alternatively you may mail it to YYYY@YYYY with subject as "Attn: Dr. Prasad".

However the findings you shared in the post is very positive and convincing. There are no alarming feature. What we have is a live pregnancy whose has growth appropriate to the age of pregnancy located within the uterus and not ectopic.

This scan will also should have an expected date of delivery mentioned before the final impression. That would be the close probable date you will deliver your baby if every thing goes well.

As far as pronatal vitamin is concerned, it seems to vitamins including folic acid. You may continue to take it. I am unaware about the precise dosage in it though. You can read for yourself and confirm if it has 5mg folic acid.

In a nutshell, I don't see any alarming features to impair pregnancy growth and development. Follow the instructions of your OBGYN doctor who will plan battery of blood investigations and antenatal ultrasound scan sequentially. I will be available to clear your doubts if any on this forum.

Good Luck!! And safe Pregnancy!!

Brief Answer:
Stomach ache may be related to pregnancy / medication...

Detailed Answer:
My comments / replies to your query are as follows:

1. I reviewed the scan report. And yes the English translation helped. Usually here in my location an expected date of delivery (EDD) is always mentioned with this report. I wasn't able to find it in your scan. This EDD is considered as most probable date of delivery.
Nevertheless as I mentioned earlier, your scan findings are positive and encouraging.

2. Which part of the stomach aches?
Both capgolin as well as susten can irritate stomach / gastric mucosa leading to pain above belly button, nausea, abdominal distension and flatulence. However a lower abdominal pain (below belly button) mild to moderate intensity crampy abdominal pain is mostly due to pregnancy itself.
If you can describe this pain - its location, intensity of pain as well as type of pain - crampy / dull ache / burning, etc., I might be able to guide you.

3. Here, during the initial weeks of pregnancy we order for hemoglobin, blood grouping and typing, HIV (Elisa), VDRL, Rubela IgM antibody test, blood sugar and thyroid function tests. You can check / discuss about these test with the treating doctor.

4. As far as pronatal pill is concerned, I wasn't able to read the composition in the picture. However as look at sources on the internet it contains 800mcg of folic acid which is lower than what is recommended during pregnancy. I would instead suggest folic acid 5mg tablets. Please check at the nearest pharmacy.

Hope this answered all your questions.

Brief Answer:
Pain most likely due to pregnancy...

Detailed Answer:
I am extremely sorry to disappoint you with my late replies. I am committed to my personal and professional life during my night hours. Hope you understand.

1. Yes, the lower abdominal cramping pain is most likely from pregnancy. This kind of lower abdomen crampy pain is very common during early pregnancy due to growing fetus. As pregnancy progresses beyond 3 months, hormones that develop will ease this pain. So unless the pain is worst or there is significant bleed, I would not be concerned.
Therefore continue with the medications, by 3 months of pregnancy this pain should reduce if not disappear.

2. The tests that I mentioned earlier are not an immediate requirement. You can discuss with your OBGYN during the next appointment.

3. You can ask for folic acid brands like tablet folvite 5mg. It is to be taken once a day. 5mg folic acid supplementation helps to prevent neural defects in the growing fetus.

4. The composition is in Chinese which I do not understand. But based on my research, I think the one with 0.8 could be the folic acid. And as I mentioned in my earlier statement, here we recommend 5mg supplementation.

Hope this helped. I will be available for future discussion.

Brief Answer:
Not very readable...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry I wasn't able to comprehend the findings in this urine routine test. However since our concern/point of discussion was related to whether or not you have an urinary tract infection, I would say that this report is fairly normal.

Classically urine infection shows elevated WBC which is more than 1 wbc /hpf in women. Though you have mildly elevated WBC number I wouldn't call this as significant. Moreover you did not report clinical symptoms of urine infection which is increased frequency of urination, burning/pain while passing urine or fever. We can wait for the next 48 - 72 hours for culture report before confirming / ruling out urinary tract infection.

In my opinion, I still feel this crampy abdominal pain is due to early pregnancy.

Sir

Does Susten300mg tab has folic acid in it ? Because mydoctor said no need to take any additional folic acid tab please confirm ?

Thanks
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Prasad J (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Susten has no folic acid...

Detailed Answer:
Susten is a progesterone pill. It has no folic acid contents.

Since your treating doctor knows the locality as well as understands Chinese, you can follow his/her instructions. Though out here we prescribe 5mg of folic acid, if she is on atleast 800mcg of folic acid, it's the right treatment.

I hope the doubts on urinary tract infection is resolved too.
