Question : Dear Sir/Madam,

I have attached my Ultra Sound test report which I got from our office regular health check-up. Please check and advise me regarding the kidney stone problem. It's saying 6mm and I am too much worried.

FYI:- I had a pain before 1 year and consulted doctor and got the tablets for 2 days. By that time also, it was around 6mm. But I didn't get any pain after that, so I thought it's cured.

Thanks you!

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As a Urologist, i can assure you, there's nothing to worry, after going through your scan reports. The stones don't affect the kidneys in anyway.
However, you should maintain 12-15 glasses liquids daily, in which case, about 90 percent stones upto 6mm ,flush out without ant other medication.
To speed up the process, it's advisable to take tablets/Syrup of Potassium, Magnesium Citrate twice daily, which your doctor will prescribe.
Repeat the scan after 2-3 months to confirm, if the stones have cleared.Once the stones have flushed out, you can stop the treatment, but maintain 12 glasses liquids daily, to prevent a recurrence.
You should get your blood uric acid level checked.
Feel free to contact me anytime.
