I am a little bit confused. When I was 6 weeks gestation I received my first ultrasound which measured 6 weeks and 1 day(normal to me). My second ultrasound was at 10 weeks and I measured 10 and 3 days (which is the one i sent you ) normal to me. yesterday i received my third ultrasound which the baby measured 13 weeks and 3 days when I was supposed to measure 12 weeks and 3 days. I'm just so confused. my third ultrasound doesn't match to my LMP nor matches the dates I had inter coarse. can the last ultrasound be off by a week?
Brief Answer:
Its normal.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up.
The earlier ultrasound is accurate for measuring LMP. Later on it is not accurate. This is usual. So we usually take the first and earliest ultrasound report to see LMP. Later on according to variations in growth this will vary. It is normal.

Thank you for your follow up query.
Yes, the 6th week one is the more accurate one and matches closer to your last menstrual period (LMP). Later ultrasounds are not taken as indicators for finding LMP. Later ones is for finding anomalies , growth retardation etc.
Most hospitals nowadays will have a written report also. If it is not there its ok.
