I am 55 and my scan report shows that sessile mural thickening bladder base.
Is there a need to see Urologist and what does it mean

Thanks for query .You have done Ultrasound Scanning of the babdomen which has revealed sessile mural thickening of the bladder wall at the base .

Sessile mural thickening of bladder wall is suggestive of a flat tumor along the mucus membrane of bladder and needs to be investigated further to confirm the nature ,

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture and urine cytology
2) MRI of the abdomen and pelvis
3) Endoscopic Examination of bladder (Cystoscopy) and Biopsy .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
