Brief Answer:
You can discuss percutaneous sclerotherapy with the urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I guess your son is having an epididymal cyst which is a common cause of testicular swelling.

Though surgery is the treatment of choice for such a condition, recent reports of treatment with percutaneous sclerotherapy with polidocanol is being done in some hospitals. In this a substance named polidocanol is injected in small amount in to the cyst to collapse it. Research shows over 84 percent patients being cured of their symptoms from this treatment.

It is recommended that you discuss the available treatments, surgery and sclerothearapy with the urologist and then decide which one is recommended by his doctor.

Hope your query is answered.
