Question : Longitudinal lie
Cephalic presentation bpd 8.90 cm's
Anterior fetal spine fc 6.80 cm's
Hc 31.70 cm's ac 29.10 cm's
Not low lying placenta
Posterior position
Adequate amniotic fluid
No lethal anomalies are seen
Single live intra uterine fetus of 37 weeks gestation in cephalic presentation
Possible delivery and date????

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about possible delivery dates.

Following is my reply:

1) Parameters you have mentioned suggest baby is growing normally.

2) But it is not possible to predict the delivery dates by this ultrasound scan.Dates can be predicted by calculating from your last menstrual dates. Your doctor should have given a date by now according to your LMP ( Last period date).

3) You will deliver within next 3 weeks as you are 37 weeks already.

Hi,

At this stage of pregnancy generally the position doesn't change from cephalic to anything else. Cephalic is best position for baby to be.

Placenta should not be low lying. Hence the report is normal that placenta is NOT low lying.
