Question : I have been diagnosed with liver disease do to medications. I have been having unexplained brusing mostly on back of legs and calves, but now have this bruise above my right hip. I have ignored it so far but should I have it checked out?

I did review your condition. Bruising due to liver problems can indicate coagulation or platelets problems.

I would recommend a prothrombin time test, activated partial prothrombin time and platelet count tests to confirm if there is a problem and then manage accordingly.
