Question : Today I went to the Dr. for an std test. I recently had unprotected oral sex and noticed after 5 days a little white discharge. No pain or discomfort. They took a urine test and blood test. The MD came back right away and stated that the urine was negative but he is sending both tests out for a complete evaluation. I am very nervous as I was unfaithful and realize the seriousness of my poor decision. (NEVER AGAIN). My question is, should the initial negative response of the urine test be encouraging to me. I am so upset. They told me I have to wait for 7 days. Please, any info would be appreciated. Being the urine test came back negative (normal white blood counts, I guess), is it probably not Gonorrhea or chlamydia?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
If urine is negative, then, infection is on your genitalia;wait for results..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Now, there are few points to analyze in your case:
- you say you noted a little white discharge from your penis 5 days after unprotected oral sex, but with no pain or discomfort.

As the urine test was negative, then, the presence of discharge is indicating infection of your genitalia.

- In order to understand if this infection is from STD or other common bacteria or candida; culture and sensitivity testing have been required, explaining why you are getting the results after 7 days.

I do not want to precipitate things, but you should be patient until you get the final report.
If the discharge will get more and if you are going to feel pain or anything else, should consult with your doctor as soon as possible to start immediate therapy.

All the best.
