Question : Hello, I would like to know the following
I'm 13 weeks and 6 days pregnant according to blood work done as well as the first day of my last menstrual cycle which was 11/11/2022. I went for a scan at 11weeks 4 days yet the scan said at the time I was only 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant, how is this possible? What explanation is there for the "loss" of 5 weeks ?

                                    Brief Answer:
Bhcg and ultrasound may show the same pregnancy age
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
A 5 weeks discordance between ultrasound, blood tests and menstrual cycle isn't much possible or can't find any explanations.
There can be a discordance between LMP and ultrasound if ovulation was delayed but blood test and ultrasound may show the same pregnancy age.
I can recommend you to do another ultrasound around 12-13 weeks.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
