                                    Brief Answer:
Various suggstions for food items in vitiligo
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again to the forum and thanks for posting your details.
As per the Medical sciences we dermatologists believe that none of the food is exactly causing increase or decrease in vitiligo. There is no proper consensus for the food intake in terms of do’s and don’ts for vitiligo.
Even though I myself prefer to guide my patients to avoid food with contaminants, additives, preservatives and cosmetic products which could aggravate vitiligo. It is postulated that these produce oxidative stress in the skin and can cause vitiligo.
There is a famous myth in XXXXXXX that all sour foods with white food items can cause or increase vitiligo. In my clinical experience as well as by various researches it had been shown that there is no implication of sour diet or white food or milk products in causation of vitiligo.
In ayurveda and homeopathy, there is a common taboo to food items with sour taste. But according to our observation we have not found anything related in causation of vitiligo by any of sour food items. In my own clinical experience I have never found and correlation of food items with increased potential of vitiligo.
According to latest of researches all food items with high antioxidant property are considered to be good in vitiligo. The food items of high antioxidant property are Crimini mushrooms, Whey, a protein complex derived from milk, all green vegetables and fruits with red color are considered quite beneficial in preventing further spread of vilitigo.
I hope these informations will help you. I will be glad to reply any further queries. I wish best and early recovery,
With regards,

No correlation of non veg or egg with vitiligo
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again to the forum and thanks for your follow up.
Regarding the egg intake and non vegetarian foods- there is again no any correlation of these food items in either causation or increase in vitiligo.
To tell you medically these food items basically contains proteins in it. There is no implication of any proteins or food in increasing vitiligo. In XXXXXXX there is again a myth regarding causation of vitiligo after consumption of non vegetarian food with milk, but after through research we have found out tha thee is no correlation at all.
So i suggest you that if you want to take egg or non vegetarian food then can very well consume the same without any problem or concern.
I hope these informations will help you. I will be glad to answer any further queries or if not then can close the discussion and rate the answer.
