                                            Question : I had to walk too far at an airport.  Ifelt weak and my legs wanted to buckle.  I could get to my hotel, but the next day I could only stagger a short distance. Today I can walk short distances and then must rest.  What foods and/or otc meds could help the healing?  I am a severe diabetic, so repairing the muscles will take a while

Since you have been having diabetes for a long time, your blood vessels would be narrow and unaccustomed exercise leads to ischemia. The pain and weakness are due to the same. You should rest adequately, take plenty of water, avoid caffeinated beverages, take vitamins, minerals and anti oxidant supplements. You can also use a topical anti inflammatory application like olfen gel which is available OTC
