Question : What is the drug eszopiclone 3mg used for and what are the possible side effects including erectile dysfunction?My age is 75 and I am active Spin & light weights 3x/wk.

Thanks for the query.
ESZOPICLONE is a sedative given to people suffering from insomnia and who are repeatedly awakening up in the night.
Most common side effects are..
Drowsiness,headache,dizziness,unpleasant taste,hallucinations etc.
Other less common side effects include..
Increased aggressiveness,confusion,agitation,worsening of your depression,suicidal thoughts and acts.
Rarely a person may develop serious rash or trouble breathing or even itching and swelling of face or tongue.

Although it doesn't cause erectile dysfunction but in few people it can result in slight reduction in libido.
