Brief Answer:
Its analgesic and anticonvulsant.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome here.

Gabapentin is a medication used as an anticonvulsant (that is to treat seizures) and analgesic (that is to treat pain).

It was originally developed to treat seizures, and is currently also used to relieve neuropathic pain, especially central neuropathic pain arising due to injury to spinal cord.

Hope this helps.
