                                            HSIL
Detailed Answer:
thank you for contacting HCM with your helath care concerns
You are wondering what HSIL means. It stands fro High-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. This means that the pap smear indicated changes that are suggestive of possible cervical cancer and that further investigation is indicated. the next step would be a culposcopy which is looking directly at the cervix with a high power microscope. Once they find the lesion they will biopsy the area. If it is a cancer they can also treat it with various therapies most common is cryotherapy of freezing the area or they may remove the disease part with a laser.
I do recommend that you be sure to follow up with your medical provider to have this pap smear checked
