Question : I have extreme itching in my vagina area! What is causing this? I have used Vaseline and that helps but not always. Plus it usually itches at night when I am sleeping.

Hi,

Itching in the vaginal area could be due to dryness, intertrigo or fungal infection.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching for 12-14 days.
