Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone througe your query and after considering your medical history the possible causes of swollen upper lip are-

(1) Insect bite on upper lip.

(2) Infection of gums and teeth of upper jaw.

(3) Furuncle on upper lip.

(4) Cavernous sinus thrombosis- here swelling also involves the cheek and eye lids.

(5) Allergic reaction to proteins of sea fishes.

(6) Allergic reaction to drugs.

(7) Idiopathic- When cause is unknown.

Depending on the cause of swelling treatment is plane out.
