My answer as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding dyslipidemia, I would explain that this is a situation where your blood cholesterol or triglycerides (blood lipid profile) is above the normal ranges, leading to a high cardio-vascular risk.

Labile is a term used for an easily changing situation. Usually it is referred to the mood or emotions. A person with labile emotions is always changing his humor within minutes (depressed or happy), he may be crying and after some minutes laughing happy. This term can also be used referring to blood pressure (blood pressure keeps changing) or blood glucose (usually in diabetic patients).

Regarding the medications you have asked for, I would explain as follows:

1-Troponin I is an enzyme (protein), usually found in the cardiac cells. This protein is released when the heart muscle has been damaged, such as occurs with a heart attack. The more damage there is to the heart, the greater the amount of troponin I there will be in the blood. That is why when suspicions on a possible heart attack are raised, Troponin I plasma levels are performed to cofirm the diagnosis, besides the clinical symptoms and ECG findings. There is another variant called Troponin T, which is similar to Troponin I.

2- Lidocaine is a medications used for several uses:

a) As an anti-arrhythmic drug, used to treat cardiac arrhythmia. It is a very important anti-arrhythmic used intravenous to treat several life threatening cardiac arrhythmia.

b) As a local anesthetic. It can use temporary numbness if used locally and loss of pain. Lidocaine is suitable for infiltration, block (by injection) and surface anesthesia. Lidocaine drops can be used on the eyes for short ophthalmic procedures.

c) Inhaled lidocaine can be used as an antitussive (cough suppressor) acting peripherally to reduce the cough reflex. This can be used in intubated patients in Intesive Care Unit.

3-Procaine is a local anesthetic drug, used primarily to reduce the pain of intramuscular injection of penicillin, and it is also used by the dentist for local numbness during their procedures. It is also known with the trade name of Novocain.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
