Question : I am trying to conceive, what is the best advice for now since its difficult for me to understand the fertile period and given the fact that we get so little time for actual action, its important to understand if i should go for any tests prior to trying to conceive
Brief Answer:
Folic acid
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Fertile period is the time of the menstrual cycle in which the chances of conception are there.
In a normal 28-32 days cycle, the fertile period is from day 8 to day 22, with maximum chances around day 14-16.
You should get your thyroid levels and sugar levels done prior to planning pregnancy.
You should also take folic acid tablet daily as taking it in preconceptional period reduces the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
