Question : Hi I’ve had periodontal disease and Sx several times. Now my gums r receding and the roots are appearing below my crowns and gums r painful. What is going on????

Well, gum recession and pain in gums can be due to gum disease only and this can be an Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Petiodontal disease.

Well, the symptoms seems to be due to Periodontal Disease only.
This should not be treated at home.
You should consult a Periodontist and get evaluated.
You might need Gum grafts or other periodontal procedures done, but before this x- rays has to be takes to evaluate the amount of bone loss.
Get it checked at the earliest to avoid loosening of teeth and further gum recession.
