Question : My dr told me recently that I have low grade viral pneumonia......what exactly is that and what is the treatment? Is is contagious?

Thanks for your query.
Viral pneumonia is infection of lung by viruses like influenza virus. Usually it presents as fever, running nose, chest pain, breathlessness, later on may be with sputum production.
Treatment is usually supportive with antipyretics. taking plenty of fluid is also beneficial...usually resolves within a week...

Yes, it is contagious.
