Thank you for your query.

Anterior longitudinal ligament connects vertebral bodies in the spinal column. In some cases, it may get calcified. This is more common in older people, however, it may occasionally occur in younger people too.

Most often, it is not of any clinical consequence. In some cases, it may be associated with back or neck pain.
