As per the medical query raised by you I would like to tell you that ectasia basically means dilatation of the caliber of the blood vessel.

Mild ectatic aorta mean there is slight dilatation of the aorta.

Although mild dilatation won’t cause any major issues as such but these patients need to get there echo reviewed every 6 months to see the rate of progression.
