Question: Hi Doctor,
I have been suffering from hair loss from last 3 to 4 years I am 26M, used minoxidil to and fro in this 3 years but from last one year used minoxidil for two times a day for almost 10 months after that I have undergone two sessions Tricell PRP treatment. The Doctor whom I have consulted prescribed to use Ducray Creastim lotion and Anaphase shampoo. I have been using this from past one and half month, but I didn't see any difference and even I am loosing more hair. I am little worried is it because that I have stopped using minoxidil and started using Creastim. Can I use this Creastim twice a day or once a day? Please let me know what exactly I need to do. Please can you suggest me something which will help me in stopping my hair shedding? and it is getting worse day by day.

Brief Answer:
Restart minoxidil and add oral Finasteride.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Minoxidil 5% solution together with Finasteride are the only approved remedies for androgenetic alopecia in males. These are prescription products. Other OTC preparations like Creastim lotion are not of proven efficacy. Therefore, I suggest you to restart with Minoxidil 5% solution. In addition to that, I also suggest you to take an oral Finasteride tablet once a day. You may continue with the shampoo.

Hope I have answered your query.
