Question : Hello Doctor- Six months back was diagnosed with PTB and Cold Abscess Chest Wall on left side with other symptoms are evening fever, weigh loss , cough. FNAC of pus from Chest wall was done and it was confirmed as Tuberculosis infection.

Genexpert- Tuberculosis Detected with Rifampcin Sensitive.

Chest Xray- Lobulated opacity is noted along the pleura.

Below medicines were Started based on body weigh 58Kg

In the 7th week growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex was detected with below sensitivity report

Based on the above report Ethambutol Resistance the doctor has modified the regime as

Pyzina stopped after three months and now currently on Rcinex/Levofloxcin.
Six months has been completed .There was not much improvement seen in the chest X ray after six months so Dr ordered for Chest CT.Attach is the comparison report for Chest CT.
Based on the report Dr is asking to continue the medicine for another 4-6 months for complete healing. Some abscess is still left
Clinically I am perfectly ok
I would like to know if my treatment is going on the right direction. Will the abscess that is left will get cured over the period of time with current medicines I am taking.
