Question : Hi my name is Coby and I am 18 years old, I am wanting to go on a pill to stop my period and choose when it comes. What would be the best one for me?
Brief Answer:
Hormonal drugs
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is no pill to stop the periods for a very longer duration ( more than 21 days).
You can take oral contraceptive pills to regulate the periods and in that case, the periods will occur within expected duration.
To delay the periods, one can use norethisterone.
However, to stop the periods for 3-6 months, stronger hormonal derivatives used for gynecological disorders like endonmetriosis are given.
These are not to be used without indication.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
