Do not need a colonoscopy right now.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read the description you have provided and I agree with your doctor that you have IBS. You probably d not need a colonoscopy now.
However I would advise you to get a stool test vs for occult blood done on three consecutive days. In case all the reports are negative you do not need a colonoscopy.
Stress is an important factor which can aggravate IBS. So stress management is an important part in treating IBS.
You should visit your doctor. You kith need a change in medications or an addition of new medications.
In the mean time I would suggest adding a fiber supplement like psyllium husk to your diet.
Hope this helps
