What Is The Cause And Treatment For Constipation?

No pain, cramps, no black stool, maybe a little bloat but not much. Never had a problem in past except when taking chemo 11 years ago for stage 4 non-hodgkins lymphoma, metastasized through my bones. lots of chemo and radiation but clean today. Also had advanced-aggressive prostate cancer, stage 4, metastasized 21/2 years ago. no treatments- no cancer today. Get checked every 3 months
I go but no urge so I have to try to make it come out, but only little marbles at a time.
Drink 3-4 16oz bottles water daily, been eating organic oat XXXXXXX grains, salads and fruits.
any suggestions?
Possible Primary Constipation?Responds to laxatives alone
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your concern.
As per your history you seem to have primary constipation.
Its may relate to the malignancy history in your case,as you had regular and clean follow ups-no active cancerous process as of today.
Hard pellet like stools can be relieved though one rectal suppository of tab Dulcolax/bisacodyl.
This will offer excellent results at the very first instance.
This along with Syrup Smuth one tsp once a day at bedtime along with 2 tsp of Lactifiber powder in 1 full glass of water post dinner for 2 weeks will offer excellent results.
Continue with the intake of water.
Overall this need not be a major issue to worry.
Please note above drugs have to be taken in strict medical supervision.
Post your further queries,if any.
Thank you.
