Brief Answer:
Get tested

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Before admitting that xanax is the cause for increased liver enzymes, if I was your caring doctor would advise to run further diagnostic tests to rule out other causes like :
- alcohol drinking
- liver infection
etc.

If everything would result ok, once you stop taking xanac the enzymes level will be vack to normal again.

Yes,liver enzymes will improve if you stop both of them

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

Thank you for following up.

Yes, if you stop taking both Xanax and alcohol, your liver enzymes will be back to normal. Unless, viral hepatitis is present. If no viral hepatitis, then, your liver enzymes will improve if you stop them both.

Let me know if I can be of further help!

Brief Answer:
Six weeks after stopping alcohol and Xanax

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

It will need 6 weeks after stopping alcohol and Xanax for you to see changes in your blood transaminases.

You should continue eating healthy, drinking plenty of water; consume more milk.

All the best!
