Brief Answer:
Yes it is reversible

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for providing the additional information.

You are having a simple fatty liver disease.
Some of the causes of fatty liver are alcohol intake, obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol.

You have two risk factors - alcohol intake and obesity.
By stopping alcohol intake and reducing weight you can reverse fatty liver.

This fat desposition has not caused any damage to your liver as evidenced by a normal liver function test. So there is no need to worry.

All you need to do is to stop drinking alcohol and reduce weight.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Yes. You have precisely answered my questions. Thanks. I have to follow your advise religiously. Still, I require your considered opinion on two more things.

1. Should i go and consult doctor for a physical examination / any dosage of medicines?
2. What precautions i should take while stopping abruptly/ withdrawal of drinks? or Can i cut the frequency of moderate drinks to strictly once in a week.

Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. No you need not consult any doctor for a physical examination or any medicine.
All you need to do is stop alcohol intake and reduce weight.

2. Since you are not a heavy drinker, abruptly stopping alcohol may not be causing any harm. But still, since I do not know how much you drink, I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist in your area who will assist you in stopping alcohol intake.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
