What Is The Cause And Treatment For Mood Disorder?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Oct 2014
Question: Why do you think it is that I am so hesitant and nervous to optimize myself? I seem to have pinpointed my vices, strengths, tendencies, midbrain reactions, etc. but now it's like my ego is desperately searching for some excuse to continue procrastinating and wasting time worrying about nonsense. It's like I'm awake for the first time in my life, and now that all the tools necessary to create the happiest, healthiest, most productive version of myself are at my disposal it scares the shit out of me. THAT's the reaction I don't understand inside myself. Shouldn't it be the most exciting thing in the world to realize your fallacies and immature patterns of thinking and have the ability to change, literally right now? Why is there some intangible force desperately trying to keep me in my old ways? This may help break "me" down, too:
Every time I notice myself behaving in a way commensurate with my new ideas I get so excited and anxious (maybe not the right word) that it pulls me out of that mode... Like when you're trying to reach a clam, clear mental state through meditation, etc. and some external stimuli won't allow you to REMAIN in that state.

Brief Answer:
Detail required

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

Thank you for your query.

everyone is hesitant and nervous to optimize one self except few and other don't show one's nervousness so not to worry about it.
Can you please give detail regarding in which nonsense thing which you worry about and give excuse about it ?
It is necessary for all and all is doing things which gives happiest and healthiest version of one's self but when it is not fulfilled, breakdown of one self occur.
Sometimes due to ego and superego conflict it is difficult to change as super ego is the main force in our body which keeps moral of our selves so it does not allow us to do some things and also gives excuse for certain acts we did.
so not to worry about it.
There is always some external stimuli which interfere in your calmness but you have to understand and tackle them.
Due to all this have you ever any symptoms like sadness of mood, loss of interest, easy irritability, lack of concentration, sleep and appetite disturbance, anxiety symptoms like palpitation, restless, dry mouth, sweating, tremors etc...?

Is this interfere in your work, social and personal relationship?

Since when you have thinking become changed?

Consult psychiatrist for detail history and mental status examination.

Awaiting your response.
Thank you.

I've had no symptoms such as the ones you listed. I really have no symptoms at all. I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. The "nonsense" issues I find myself focusing on periodically are things like this:
- What are other people going to think about what I do or say (not to say I'm acting unethically. I sometimes worry about others' judgements, knowing very well that they're completely inconsequential)
- What if i don't succeed or EVER find happiness (this is a nonsensical thing to worry about because, as long as I'm mindful of my thoughts and actions, I'll likely end up in a "good place", mentally and physically)
- Worrying about the well-being of friends and family due to their inability to recognize imperfections in themselves and strive to correct them

PLEASE pardon my cynicism if I'm utterly incorrect, but if you are asking about specific symptoms because this site is a Pfizer shill, I'm no longer interested in continuing this engagement. To answer your other questions:

No work, nor social or personal relationships have been affected by this.

These new thoughts (and this new paradigm) began a few months ago after some deep introspection, aided by cannabis sativa.

That's ridiculous.
"Withdrawal" from cannabis is mild at its worst. I used it heavily and daily for multiple months, and recently quit altogether. The worst "withdrawal" I experienced was related to falling asleep. I exercised more during the day. Problem solved.
I realize that everyone's biological makeup is different, and that the severity of a "withdrawal" can vary, but anecdotal evidence indicates that my experience is common.

What cannabis provided for me was a new perception. It provided a way for me to look at myself objectively, rather than viewing my actions through the lens of my own emotions and experiences. It disconnected me from my own narrative and allowed me to view things from a "bird's eye" perspective.

I'm now realizing that academics have been fed the same bullshit propaganda as other citizens, and are not immune to incorrect, antiquated perceptions of the effects of cannabis and other psychedelics. For the future welfare of our species I urge you and your colleagues to keep up with new information regarding cannabis, and quit connecting your advice to its relationship to public policy (its legality).
As a professional; it's irresponsible and negligent to give BLIND advice. If you aren't well-versed in cannabis and its effects, don't give professional advice about it.

I truly appreciate your help; you've been wonderful. My intention was not to be confrontational; I am just sick of people speaking without real knowledge.
You would never tell someone not to go to Paris if you've never been there. Furthermore, you'd absolutely not tell them that Paris is in some way objectively dangerous.

Brief Answer:
Not due to withdrawal but it is induced

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

I am not talking about withdrawal. Cannabis induced mood disorder does sometimes occur. It can result in such deep introspection of every thing.

I told you that if you are on cannabis then quit it and if any withdrawal symptoms you have consult psychiatrist and take treatment for that.

If you feel happy and not having any trouble in work, personal and social relation then why are you worrying?

What ever your deep introspection, it may be the cannabis induced.

We are here to give you information from your history but actual interview and mental status examination makes difference.

Thank you.
