Question : What is the cause of a change in the appearance of stools from tube-like to rounded balls of about 1-2 cm diameter?

Hi

It Seems you are constipated

Increase the content of fiber in your diet
Drink lot of fluids orally

And if need be add a stool softner like Liquid Paraffin at bed time
