Brief Answer:
HIV antibody test done after 129 days conclusive
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query.
In normal condition and in a normal individual the window period for HIV antibody test is 8- 12 weeks. So the test done after 3 months is a conclusive one. If you are on steroids or any other immuno-suppressive drugs or had taken post exposure prophylaxis (completed or discontinued), then there may be a delay in widow period. That too not more than six months.
XXXXXXX &Johnson Vitros ECi is the name of equipment or analyzer and not the name of the test.

Sir,
I was not taking any immuno-suppressive drug. Doctor gave me Rotacap seroflo to inhale which I was using. Apart from that I did not take PEP. Shall I consider the result Final and go ahead?
Which generation test is it? Is it a rapid test? How modern the test is? I am attaching the report for your review.

Brief Answer:
CMIA test is advanced/highly reliable test for HIV
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Rotocap inhaler is not a steroid containing drug. So it would have no effect on Antibody production in HIV. So it is a conclusive one and you need no further test for HIV.
Your test is antibody based test. CMIA (Chemiluminescence) test is a latest advance technique and reliable to the extent of 100%. The negative CMIA test after 129 days ruled out both HIV 1 and 2. You are absolutely free from HIV.

I just checked the content of Seroflo it says it has corticosteriods. Shall it affect HIV test?
I will brief you about my exposure and test histories:
I want to inform you that after the first incident (Condom slipped),I went through 6 antibody tests at 11 dyas, 37 days, 45 days, 100 days, 143 days and 254 days all came out negative.
After 2nd incident (protected sex with deep kissing), I went through 2 antibody tests, at 19 days and 130 days. As mentioned above all negative. Latest test report attached herewith.
What is the possibility of my HIV status?
I started taking Seroflo twice a day from 28th February 2014 till 1 months and then stopped.

Brief Answer:
Risk is negligible. Results reliable.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
With Condom slipped exposure, you had tested up to 36 weeks and found to be nonreactive.
With deep kissing and protected exposure your HIV risk is negligible only.
Your exposure to steroids as an inhaler for a month and its effect on immune system of the body would not persist for months. So your tests are highly reliable.
Relax and forget those incident.

Brief Answer:
You are HIV free.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Once again I assure you that you are HIV free as your antibody test was
non-reactive even after 130 days of your Deep kissing, which has a negligible risk. Rotamac Seroflo has a minimal effect on Immune system and your test is reliable.
