Brief Answer:
Both are different

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Gemer 1 contains Glimiperide 1 mg while Istamet contains Sitagliptin and Metformin.
Both the drugs are of different class of anti diabetes drugs and have different mechanism of action.
We use both of them as monotherapy or even together as per patients blood sugar levels and other metabolic parameters.
If you talk in general, i would say in a simple language (a non medical statement) that Istamet is stronger them Gemer.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
