Question : What is the difference between hydromorphone and diflusinal? have both.diflusinal is from 2010 andhydro is from 2011.

They are both pain killers however they belong to different families of medication.

Diflusinal is in the NSAID family of pain killers. This would include other medications such as ibuprofen and cataflam. These medications act by stopping enzymes that produce prostagladins. Prostagladins are chemicals that act as messengers in the transmission of inflammation.
This family of medications can be used for pain, inflammation and fever reduction.
They should be used on a full stomach.

Hydrocodone is in the opiate family of pain killers. This would include other medications such as tramadol, codeine, morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone.
It is mainly for pain relief. Hydrocodone may cause drowsiness as a side effect, this effect would not be seen with the diflusinal.
