Question : Hi! Could you please explain the basic differences between lisinopril and Diovan ? My Mom is having problems with side effects with Diovan, and I thought perhaps lisinopril might be easier for her to take for her high blood pressure.

Brief Answer:
There are similar

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

lisinopril is an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi). Diovan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They both act on the renin-angiotensin system and have similar results on blood pressure.

So lisinopril can be used instead of diovan.
