Question : Have a yeast infection was on an antibiotic for a week. Took a canes oral pill off the shelf on the 30th of May and was wondering if I can take another pill as it is not any better

Yes, a repeat dose can be used.

In most cases only one dose is used for the majority of vaginal yeast infections but in cases of complicated yeast infections or recurrence, additional doses are needed and used.

Complicated infections are those that are severe , not responding to treatment or due to unusual fungal infections.
In complicated infections, fluconazole (the ingredient in the canes) , is used every three days for three doses.

Since there has not been any improvement in your symptoms , a second dose can be used.
To increase effectiveness, you may want to also consider the use of a topical agent at the same time eg the canesten topical vaginal creams or ovules.
