Question : can I take fluconazole at 300 mg per week dose for skin infection?
just for more information- I have taken the 150 mg strength fluconazole - Sysscan capsules once a week for 6 weeks. Also I am doing diating so I am drinking 3 lits water every day. will this lead to early excretion of the drug and therefore lower effect?

Brief Answer:
dose of the drug depends on the weight of the person.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to health care magic,

I have read the query and understand the concern.

Generally, dose of the drug depends on the weight of the person and up to some extent disease severity (here fungal infection in your case)

So,if you drink 3 liters water per day (which is not much high water intake itself) or may be more than that,it will not going to affect the plasma half life of the drug or lower down the effectiveness of that particular drug.

However, you should consult your treating dermatologist if you have not seen much improvement in your skin fungal infection.

It has nothing to do with increase in water intake.

Hope this will help you.

Regards,
