Question : Taxim o syrup given for 7 month old baby weighing 9kg with 4.5ml morning and night for 5 days...I have mixed the distilled water as mentioned and I have completed for 3 days but the syrup is going get over..please let me know shall I complete that one bottle discontinue the course or I need to get another new syrup to complete 5 days. .
He is also suffering with cold and light fever and mild cough.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
From the facts you have posted,I would suggest you to complete the 5 days course of taxim- o syrup as your child is still having mild fever with cough and it is not advisable to stop drug course at the middle especially if it is a antibiotic.
So,better to get a new syrup and give it for another 2 days to complete full course.
Syrup paracetamol can also be given for fever on sos basis or as directed by your doctor.
