Brief Answer:
Taking 2 pills accidentally on one occasion is not a serious concern

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Seroquel XR contains Quetiapine and the maximum dose given is in the range of 400 to 800 mg orally depending on the illness.

If your grandson has been given 350 mg Seroquel XR twice over a span of 2 hours then there is no need to worry as it will not cause significant adverse effects of overdose. This is extended dose preparation and will release the medication slowly with time. There will not be any sudden high levels of medication to cause any overdose symptoms. However this must not be repeated and I am sure you will be careful.

He can be given regular dose tomorrow.

However please be careful and keep the pills in a pill box marked with a single pill for each day. This way over dose can be prevented in future.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
