Question: I have taken an ipill n then also I got pregnant.if I keep this pregnancy,ll it harm the baby??pls reply its urgent...thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Though there are no scientific studies on what harm exactly iPILL can cause to baby i will advise you not to continue the pregnancy if you took the pill after getting pregnant.

This is because these medication are high on artificial hormones which are basically steroids.

So it can cause subtle or significant deformities.

My advise will be to terminate pregnancy

If you want to keep this pregnancy you can do so at your own risk.

YES you can get a detailed scan at 5 th month.

Start tablet folic acid now once every day for 3 months.

Get a dating regular scan sometime after 2 months.

Other than that do not indulge in sex, heavy work or long distance travel.

You will do fine.

Is it 100% sure tht baby ll have some hormonal imbalance,n can u pls tell wht type of tht ll be....can v take measures from nowonwards so tht nothing happens to the baby....
