As per the query raised by you I would like to tell you that the meaning of this is that the left ventricle of the heart is function just 20% of it normal range.

It's also written as cardiac function or LV Ejection fraction. The normal range in a healthy adult is between 55 to 75%.

Yes Defibrillator will be beneficial. In fact instead of simple defibrillator CTR D will be a better choice as it will take care of the heart pacing as well as prevent or treat any sudden cardiac Arrythmias.
