Lifespan refers to life expectancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Lifespan of a person suffering from Parkinson's disease refers to life expectancy of the person's after Parkinson's diagnosis compared with general population.
According to studies, life expectancy of people that are diagnosed with Parkinson's is lower compared with other people.
This mainly because of disability in the late stages and related complications.
So, drugs known as anti-Parkinson's drugs (Sinemet, Dopamine agonists, MAO-B inhibitors, COMT-inhibitors, anticholinergics, etc.), that are used to control and slower Parkinson's disease, increase life expectancy too.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Feel free to ask further.
Kind regards.
