Detailed Answer:
Hi , i am dr diwashish biswas.
welcome to ask a doctor service.
The CT scan shows signs of an old stroke (infarct) in the left basal ganglia and age-related brain shrinkage (atrophy), which are common at this age. But since she suddenly became unresponsive two days ago, we need to rule out a new stroke or any acute issue that may not yet show on CT.

I’d suggest getting an MRI brain if possible, as it’s more sensitive for new strokes.

Treatment right now focuses on:

Supportive care (hydration, nutrition, vitals)

Starting stroke-prevention meds (like aspirin), if safe

Physiotherapy to maintain mobility

Close observation for improvement

Chances of recovery:

There can be some improvement, especially with rehab, but due to her age and existing brain changes, recovery might be slow and partial.

Still, good care can help improve quality of life.

Hope this helps.
Wishing her strength and recovery.

hope your query is clear now. Thank you
