Brief Answer:
Enterogermina is Bacillus clausii

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You have been started on Enterogerminia for diarrhea. Enterogermina is actually a culture of bacteria called Bacillus clausii which allows for better digestion by working in concert with your body. The dose you are taking is totally appropriate and should do well for you. The usual dose of enterogermina is on capsule or 5ml suspension every 3-4 hours.

Enterogermina is a probiotic that also can be used prior to taking antibiotics to help prevent diarrhea.

Brief Answer:
2-4 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking additional questions

For the enterogermina we usually recommend that you continue to take the medication for 1-2 weeks after your diarrhea has resolved. You can continue to take the enterogermina as long as you like because it is a the same as yogurt cultures and people eat yogurt daily without adverse effects.
