What Is The Ovulation Date As Per My Follicular Study?

Question: hi, my lmp was 29/03 and i took fertoaid from 30/03 to 3/04. i had a follicular scan today, on cycle day 12 and it shows endom lining at 9 mm and 4 follicles as follows : left ovary : 24 X 21 right ovary : 22 X 13 : 27 X 21 : 20 X22 I am now wondering when ovulation can be expected? and if the follicles are too mature. i have had consistent negative opks since cycle day 9. i cant start trying until tmrw evening ( 10/04) as husband is out of town. will that be too late?

Follicle can rupture any time after it reaches diameter of 20 mm, so your ovulation day can be today or tomorrow at the maximum. Egg once released from ovary stays viable for 24 hours so in case you meet your husband tomorrow then also there are fair chances of achieving a successful pregnancy this time. Ovulation kits can give false results at times because they have a threshold level of hormone sensitivity and in case your urine lacks that level then kit won't be able to detect it. (As seen in case of dilute urine due to increased water intake) In my opinion you should have intercourse with your husband tomorrow and a day after (10th and 11th April) and also get a follicular scan on 11th April to make sure that follicles have ruptured.
