Mum has had a MRI and CT Scan we get results this Wednesday and mum needs an operation with a permanent stoma. I am worried the scans will show no response or spread what are the chances of this happening? I only have one letter to attach I am worried mum can't be cured though no one has ever said that. Brief Answer:
Do not worry, the surgeons will take care..

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HealthcareMagic..
I thank you for posting your query here and I am definitely going to help you out..

I read your question completely and have understood it well enough..
Please note..

1. I read all the reports attached, and this is the best treatment protocol at present.

A course of Chemo radiation followed by surgery.

2. Yes, once Abdominoperineal resection is done. The patients need Permanent Stoma.

3. Yes, it will be difficult to fashion Stoma in Obese patients, but the surgeons will invariably take care and you do not worry for that...

4. And, I'm sorry to say that since it's a cancer, the surgeons along with Radiation and Medical Oncologists can try their best to cure. But, sometimes, it's beyond the control.

5. But, with the proposed surgery, it should take care of further detioration or metastasis if any.

6. You need to get mentally prepared and motivate your mother in the entire course of treatment.

Hope this helps you, in case you need further assistance, please contact me back.
Or, you can close the question and rate.
Take care..

Please note..

2. On the other hand, it is not the metastasis also.

Brief Answer:
Yes, that's the spirit to go forward

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for getting back...

Yes, that is the spirit required to go ahead...

But, please try to understand that this is cancer and we don't know how it behaves.

No surgeon can, or should claim that there will be 100% cure.

Hope this helps you..
