Question : Hello Doctor,
My wife has been diagnosed with neurogenic tumor and I have following queries.
Is surgery the only option for this? If so is this a major surgery? What is the recovery period post surgery?
Is biopsy the only option to know if its benign/malignant /premalignant, or you can find with scan report?
What are the post operative complications we can expect?
After surgery can this occur again?

Brief Answer:
Cervical lymphadenopathy.

Detailed Answer:
Dear thanks for reference.
I have gone through the reports. There is no nervous tumour. It is enlarged parapharyngeal node which needs to be evaluated. Either fine needle aspiration or complete excision biopsy is indicated to confirm the diagnosis of the disease. In this case exhaustive surgery is not indicated.Once the report of malignancy is confirmed the treatment can be planned. Do do not wory and as advised get the biopsy done for further management.
