Question : Had Viral fever last 7 days and now no fever but heavy nose block with considerable cough ( I am told frontal & maxillary sinusities)

                                    Brief Answer:
Use a mucolytic and nasal drops
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Nasal congestion post nasal infection is common. It is usually due to edema of nasal mucosa and hypertrophy of inferior turbinates.
You have maxillary and frontal sinusitis and this adds to the increased hypertrophy of turbinates. The sinus drainage gets blocked in acute infections more and contributes to congestion.
Please use a mucolytic and nasal decongestant drops for few days and things should improve.
In case the problem persists, do consult an ENT for further evaluation.
