Brief Answer:
Abortion pills always be taken under supervision.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern, though.

Abortion pills can only be conducted under supervision of a doctor or an expert because sometimes it may cause severe bleeding, infection and incomplete abortion.

You should first go for a pelvic ultrasound to determine the exact size and site of pregnancy and repeat ultrasound after 2 weeks of taking abortion pills.

Contrapill 200 only contain mifepristone in it, then you have to take contrapill - kit which contains mifepristone and mesoprostol under supervision of a doctor and you can abort pregnancy up to 49 days with the abortion pill.

Please use regular method of contraceptive in future to avoid excessive use of I-pill because it may cause menstrual abnormalities.

Hope it is helpful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.

Hi XXXXXXX

Sorry for my delay in response.

You have not sent me your e-mail address.

For ultrasound pelvis there is no need of prescription, it can be performed by self also.

Please proceed for it.

Abortion pills can only be conducted under supervision as I have already told you.

If you are not able to confer with the doctor I am giving details below, but it can be dangerous also.

-Repeat the dose of mesoprostol 200 mg on day-4

Bleeding and pain start 2-4 hrs. After taking mesoprostol.

It may stay up to 2 weeks, initially bleeding is heavy for a few hrs.then decrease.
